Lyfted is a technology platform that connects verified California medical cannabis patients to Santa Cruz dispensary Driver Ambassadors who work for Lyfted. You will earn $12-$15 /hour plus tips and mileage reimbursement.

We are especially seeking candidates who are available to work evening and weekend shifts.

You will be given an open time slot for your interview at office in downtown. This is an open interview so many people may arrive at once. Please arrive on time and prepared to minimize wait.

Requirements:
You are at least 21 years old.
You have a reliable vehicle, 2000 or newer registered in California, and a clean driving history, specifically no more than one moving violation or at-fault non major accident in the last year and no more than 2 in the last three years, and no major violations in the last 5 years.
You have a current valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
You have a current valid California Medical Cannabis Recommendation.
You have a current passport, social security card or other proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
You have a great personality with a professional, safe, and discreet approach to customer service.

Lyfted is currently looking to hire Driver Ambassadors to join its team. Though a Driver Ambassador may be responsible for all of the duties listed in the job description below, this person will primarily deliver orders to registered and verified dispensary patients located throughout the Santa Cruz area using Lyfted technology, an app that connects patient orders to the nearest driver. Hectic as it can be, the job is very fulfilling. We act as ambassadors for an organization unlike any other delivery service, and many new members are amazed that something like this actually exists.

JOB TITLE: Driver Ambassador

STATUS: Non-exempt

COMPENSATION: Hourly + tips

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for ensuring each member receives outstanding service by providing a positive and friendly delivery experience. Maintaining safe and efficient travel throughout the bay area, completing accurate cash and inventory handling practices, and always providing the highest level of customer service.

Understand and embrace the mission of Lyfted, affiliate organization(s), and their role in the industry and local and greater communities.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Delivery & Driver Manager, with additional supervision and direction from Delivery Supervisors.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
1. Process and deliver customer orders using Lyfted driver app and Waze navigation app.
2. Package orders accurately, take cash payments and make accurate change.
3. Provide exceptional customer service by phone, text and during in person deliveries.
4. Develop and maintain rapport with our customers, partners and staff.
5. Ensure customers’ concerns and/or questions are solved and answered promptly and efficiently, and communicate customer requests and/or problems to a manager when needed.
6. Ensure strict controls to protect organizational assets at the direction of management.
7. Obey all traffic laws and operate vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
8. Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
9. Maintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
10. Perform other related work as required.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Available to work varied hours/days, including late nights, weekends, holidays, and/or events.
2. Ability to adhere to the highest customer service standards at all times.
3. Ability to communicate clearly, honestly and effectively with customers and staff in all situations.
4. Personal knowledge of medicinal effects of cannabis to self and others.
5. Ability to perceive and meet the needs of customers and staff without direction.
6. Strong problem solving, customer service and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to dispense medicine accurately and efficiently.
8. Strong math skills for use of apps, Point of Sale (POS) system and cash handling.
9. Ability to maintain high standards in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment.
10. Must possess a high degree of personal ownership and accountability.
11. Knowledgeable on cannabis strains, genetics, cultivation and medicinal effects.
12. Must have high level of organization, patience and flexibility.
13. Strong commitment to customer service.
14. Ability to adapt to a changing industry and growing organization.
15. Maintain a current medical cannabis physician recommendation and/or a CA Medical Cannabis Identification Card issued by the DHS, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance meeting at least 100/300 liability coverage at all times.
16. Must have a reliable vehicle no more than 15 years old and a clean driving history, specifically no more than one moving violation or at-fault non major accident in the last year and no more than 2 in the last three years, and no major violations in the last 5 years.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Retail, cash handling and customer service experience preferred. Must be 21 years old and pass criminal background check.

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES: Valid California Driver’s License

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work may require prolonged sitting/standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a motor vehicle and basic office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing. Requires healthy vision (aided or unaided) sufficient for safe driving with the ability to see color and adjust focus. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a retail location, warehouse, in a motor vehicle and in public or at the homes of delivery customers. The work environment may be very loud, fluctuating between extreme cold and hot temperatures. Involves frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times and may include dealing with difficult members and/or law enforcement. Available to work varied hours/days, including late nights, weekends, holidays, and/or events.
